Bandhavgarh National Park lies in the heart of Madhya Pradesh within the district Sahdol. It is situated 441 m above sea level at Tala on the plateau of Vindhya Mountain ranges. Bandhavgarh National Park was once the hunting ground of Rewa Kings. In pre-independence India the tiger population in the park was decreased due to poaching.

Kanha National Park is one of the front line wildlife sanctuaries in India. The park is located in the Mandla District of Madhya Pradesh, amidst the Banjara and Hallon valleys. Kanha is a combined area of Hallon (250 sq. kms) and Banjara (300 sq.kms) - the two gave birth to a sanctuary in 1933.

Ranthambore National Park lies in the Eastern Rajasthan, 11 kms away from Sawai Madhopur. The park is situated on the eastern edge of the Thar Desert flanked by the Aravalli and Vindhya hills. Ranthambore National Park is one of the best places in the country to see Tigers at their normal pursuits.

Corbett National Park is located in the foothills of the Kumaon Himalayas, close to Ramnagar in Uttaranchal. Situated at an altitude of 385 m to 1200 m, the Corbett National Park covers an area of 521 sq. kms comprising Kumaon and Garhwal districts.

Gir National Park is situated in Jungadh district of Gujarat, amidst the low, undulating and rugged hills. It is the only forest in India that possesses critically endangered Asiatic Lion and there are around 300 Lions in the park. By the early 20th century, the population of Lions was decreased to two dozen in this area due to drought and hunting.
